How a college student nowadays should be
当今社会的大学生应该如何？

John:  How stupid these college students are! What's wrong with our next generation?
John：现在的大学生真的很笨！这下一代到底怎么回事啊？

Dora:  what happened?Why do you get so angry with university students?
Dora：怎么了？你为什么对大学生感到如此气愤？

John:  I am abosolutely disappointed with them.You may feel the same with me from this news. It  says that more than 30 undergradutes of several universities in  Beijing got trapped in a mountain nearby Beijing. And it took approximately 300 policemen of Beijing and 2 helicopters to rescue them. It is an unnecessary waste of  social resource. This has been the second similar incidents that happened with college students recently. The last incident was that 18 college students of Fudan  university was trapped in Huangshan mountain and it had made one soldier die.
John：我对他们极其失望。看了这新闻你可能会跟我有同感。新闻说，在北京附近的山里，有超过30个大学生被困。政府出动了大约300个警察和2架直升机去营救他们。这是对社会资源的不 必要的浪费。这是近期第二起发生在大学生身上的事件了。上一个事件中，18个复旦大学的学生被困于黄山，1名战士在营救行动中牺牲。

Dora:  Really? I can’t believe our college students are so crazy and childish nowadays. They have been adult and should be aware of how to take care of themselves.
Dora：真的吗？我不敢相信我们现在的大学生为什么如何不理智与幼稚。他们已经成年，也应该知道如何照顾他们自己。

John:  I can’t agree with you more. First of all, they should take study as their priority instead of just thinking about wasting their precious time to play  something that has no sense. Secondly, they should consider about all the potential dangers and make a sufficient preparation before they begin such a dengerous  activity. Thirdly, you can read how weak, vulnerable and incapable they are! The circunstance of the mountain is not such complicated and they were not trapped in a  despair situation but they were so lack of knowledge of self-rescue and self-care. They didn’t know how to get out of the mountain. The last, which I am so angry with  is that they looked like very happy and excited and were smiling when the journalist took photos for them. It’s evidently that they did not only feel guilty to the  social but also feel that they deserve them, the rescue and the helicopter.
John：我完全体同意你的观点。首先，他们应该把学业作为第一要事，而不是把宝贵的时间浪费在没有意义的事情上。第二，他们应该考虑到存在的危险，还应在开始一项存在危险性的活动 之前做好充分的准备。第三，你能够看到，他们是如此的弱不禁风，如此的没有能力。山里的环境并非非常复杂，他们也并非被处于毫无希望的境地，但是他们完全没有自救及自保的知识。 他们不知道如何出山。最后，让我如此生气的是，他们看起来如此的开心及兴奋，而且还对着记者们小。很明显，他们不止不感到内疚，而且似乎感到这营救以及直升机都是他们应得的。

Dora:  I can’t believe it! They were smiling yet? It’s a sorrowfull phenomenon and a lost of our education system of our country.
Dora：我真的不敢相信。他们还在微笑？这现象实在让人痛心，也是我们国家教育体现的缺失啊。

John:  Of course! Teachers in the college should cultivate the consciousnesses of basic morals in social and make them more independence in life.
John：当然。大学的老师应该培养学生的基本社会道德，而且要让他们更加独立。

Dora:  Yes. Currently the cost of living is increasing and it’s a hard time for either common people or the country. College students as the high intelligent people  of the social, should avoid such stupid incident to save the money of taxpayer to release the pressure for our country.
Dora：是的，目前生活成本一直在上升，对于人们以及国家都很难。大学生，作为高智商的社会人群，应该避免如此愚蠢的事件，为纳税人省钱，舒缓国家的压力。

John:  Absolutelly right!
John：完全正确！
